    Some further info for William Robert Wareham.

    Original Burial – Soputa War Cemetery, Papa New Guinea.
    Soputa War Cemetery (established in 1943) was a temporary Australian war cemetery for the casualties of the Battle of Gona and Sanananda.

    Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Wareham, of Lower North road, Islington, have
    been advised that their son, A/CpL Bill Wareham, died of wounds in
    New Guinea on December 18.
    He was one of the Rats of Tobruk. He also served in Syria and at El Alamein. He returned to Australia in March last with the 9th Division.
